Nashville – The capital city of Tennessee is set to give you a country music education of epic proportions.
Nashville is the capital of the State of Tennessee and home of Vanderbilt University. Among the legendary Country music clubs, the Grand Ole Ole Opry House stands out, which houses the famous “Grand Ole Opry” stage and the homonymous radio program.
In the city center there are the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the historian Ryman Auditorium and the District, which hosts Honky-Mark music played live and the Johnny Cash Museum, which traces the life of the famous songwriter.
Nashville has many arts centers and museums, including the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art, the Tennessee State Museum, the Johnny Cash Museum, Fisk University’s Van Vechten and Aaron Douglas Galleries, Vanderbilt University’s Fine Art Gallery and Sarratt Gallery, the National Museum of African American Music, and the full-scale replica of the Parthenon.
