I spent 11 days cruising up the coast of Alaska and it was MAGICAL.
Hello from Alaska! 🌲🏔️
Welcome to this breathtaking land of rugged beauty. Alaska has been on my bucket list for ages, and now I’m cruising its stunning coast for 11 days with Seabourn.
They’ve graciously hosted me on this incredible journey.
Yesterday, we docked in Ketchikan, a charming coastal town with colorful buildings. I embarked on a wilderness excursion, learning how to fish.
After a few hours on the water, we gathered around a bonfire at a wilderness camp, bundled up in four layers of clothing – the true Alaskan experience.
This morning, I woke up to a mesmerizing sight. We’re in Rudyard Bay, home to the Misty Fjords National Monument – what John Muir aptly called the “Yosemite of Alaska.”
The mist-shrouded fjords and towering peaks are awe-inspiring.
As a first-time cruiser, I was blown away by the grandeur of the ship.
Elevators, multiple floors – it’s like a floating city! But my favorite spot is the deck with a pool and two hot tubs, surrounded by mountains and fog. Pure magic.
Today, we’re in Sitka, a place I’ve longed to visit. I’ll explore, capture photos, and maybe even visit the Alaska Raptor Center.
They rehabilitate injured wild birds, releasing up to 200 healed birds each year.
And now, we’re cruising up the Endicott Arm, where chunks of ice dot the water.
Alaska, you’ve stolen my heart! ❄️🚢🌟
