my FIRST trip to GREECE! My boyfriend and I stayed in Athens, Milos and Mykonos but the highlight of the trip was the time we …

My boyfriend and I spontaneously booked a trip to Greece! We started in Athens, moved to Mykonos, and spent most of our time on the beautiful island of Milos.

I’ll be sharing where we stayed for only €43 a night each, along with all the amazing food we tried and the gorgeous beaches with crystal-clear water that everyone should see at least once.

We found a flight from Bangkok to Athens for under $500 (I’ll show you how in another video), but we were absolutely exhausted when we arrived. After grabbing a coffee and some complimentary cake, I felt ready to explore!

We decided to stop in Athens first since it was cheaper and gave us the chance to see the iconic ruins. For just €10 each, we got tickets to the Acropolis, and it was absolutely worth it.

We wandered through the charming old town near the ruins and tried this incredible sesame bread I’d never tasted before—tough but so flavorful.

Even though our day in Athens was fantastic, I was especially excited for Milos (coming up soon, so stay tuned!).

My first experience with Greek food in Athens was delightful—meat and fries made up most of my diet, but I didn’t mind! We only planned to stay a day in Athens, but our flight to Milos got canceled due to bad weather.

Fortunately, our credit card covered an extra night at a hotel, which included a surprisingly amazing breakfast the next day.

To get to Milos from Athens, we could have taken a five-hour ferry, but we opted for a quick 45-minute flight. We arrived at our cute Airbnb, which I’ve linked in the description, dropped off our bags, and went straight out for food—we were starving!

Of course, I had to try a Greek walnut cookie for dessert, which was so good I couldn’t stop eating them all trip long. Our Airbnb was stunning, with beautiful views of the beach—it felt surreal.

The next morning, I enjoyed coffee with those walnut cookies again (still don’t know what they’re called—let me know if you do!), followed by breakfast with yogurt, peaches, honey, and almonds.

It was our first day in Milos, and I realized I needed some clothes.

Our original plan was to return to Singapore before coming to Europe, so I only had swimwear and activewear with me. After sunscreen and a quick makeup session, we went shopping.

I found some essentials and then headed to lunch, where I tried traditional Greek moussaka for the first time—delicious!

After shopping and lunch, we visited the famous Sarakiniko Beach, known for its moon-like rock formations. After a day of cliff-jumping, we had a relaxing dinner where I ordered a glass of wine just because I wanted to—balance is key, after all!

The next day, we took a day-long boat cruise around Milos for €100 each, which might sound pricey, but it included meals, drinks, and an exclusive tour of parts of the island you can’t access by foot.

The views were breathtaking, especially at Kleftiko, a famous spot where pirates once hid in sea caves. Lunch included stuffed tomatoes and fresh feta, paired with more delicious Greek food. I wrapped up the day with my favorite cookies from the local bakery and an espresso by the pier.

One of our best meals was at Octo, a recommendation from our Airbnb host, where we had the best Greek salad and tried amazing tuna, pork belly, and octopus. I highly recommend Octo if you’re ever in Milos!

To leave Greece, we found it cheaper to take a ferry to Mykonos and fly from there. Once in Mykonos, we indulged in a delicious, juicy gyro—it was pricier than in Milos, but so good. Mykonos itself was beautiful but expensive and very touristy.

Beach access was tricky too; most places charged up to €100 for a day bed. It’s definitely known as a “rich kid’s playground.”

After a whirlwind day in Mykonos, we took a 4 a.m. flight to Spain. It was hard leaving Greece, but I know we’ll be back, especially to Milos—it’s truly a gem. And yes, I couldn’t resist one last airport sandwich for the flight, which was surprisingly good.

I hope you guys enjoyed this video! Like and subscribe if you did, and stay tuned for our next vlog from Madrid!
