Of course, I’m talking about Europa Park in Germany. But how do you get there? And when you arrive, where are you going to stay? In this video, I’m going to cover all of that, along with sharing my top tips for visiting.

Europa Park in Germany is a theme park and resort that many people want to visit. It wins numerous awards every year and offers an incredible theme park, an awesome water park, and some of the best on-site accommodations
I’ve ever experienced at any theme park in the world. It’s no wonder why so many people are talking about it and planning to visit in the future.
Over the past few years, there has been a lot of investment in Europa Park, from new accommodations to the huge new Rulantica water park.
There’s something for everyone at this huge resort, and in this video, I’ll break it down to make it easy for you to plan a trip to the second biggest theme park resort in Europe.
Let’s get started. It can be overwhelming when you first start planning a visit to Europa Park. First, you have to get there, so let’s talk about transportation options.
For transportation, there are several different ways to travel to Europa Park. Most people fly into Germany, and there are three main airports that people use to travel to the park.
I’ll break down the options from these three different airports and then go through the transportation options from the airport to Europa Park.
It can seem overwhelming at first because it’s not the easiest park to get to, but I’ll break it down and make it as easy as possible, starting with what I feel to be the hardest option and then moving to the easiest.
First, let’s talk about Stuttgart. If you’re flying from the United Kingdom, Eurowings and British Airways are the main operators that fly to Stuttgart.
The best option depends on the prices and the time of year. Stuttgart airport has a train station on-site. However, you’ll need to make a few connections to get to Europa Park.
The closest train station to Europa Park is Ringsheim station, and there’s a shuttle bus from there to the park, which takes about five minutes. I recommend using the Deutsche Bahn website to book train tickets in advance, as it provides details on platforms, times, and connections.
The second option is Baden-Baden airport. If you’re coming from the United Kingdom, Ryanair is the best operator to fly to Baden-Baden.
There isn’t a train station at the airport, so you need to take a bus, which takes about 30 minutes, to Baden-Baden train station. From there, you can get a train to Ringsheim and then connect to the park via the shuttle bus.
The easiest option, in my experience, is flying into Basel airport. Basel is located in Switzerland, on the French and Swiss border.
From the UK, EasyJet and British Airways fly to Basel. The airport doesn’t have a train station, but there’s an efficient bus service that takes you to Basel SBB, the main train station, in about 15 minutes.
From there, you can book your train on the Deutsche Bahn website from Basel to Ringsheim, usually with one change at Freiburg. This journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1.5 hours.
Once you arrive at Ringsheim, you can take the shuttle bus to Europa Park.
Europa Park also offers a shuttle service from various airports and cities. This service is very efficient but also quite expensive.
For example, it costs around 220 euros for a single trip from Basel airport to Europa Park for up to seven people.
This option might be worth considering if you’re traveling in a large group. Alternatively, you can hire a car, which provides more flexibility.
The drive from Basel takes about one hour, from Stuttgart about 1 hour 45 minutes, and from Baden-Baden about 55 minutes.
Once you arrive at Europa Park, you’ll need somewhere to stay. There are numerous accommodation options at Europa Park, from six on-site hotels to the Camp Resort, or local accommodations in Rust.
The on-site hotels are themed and offer a fantastic experience. My favorite is Hotel Bell Rock, which has a modern feel and fantastic rooms.
Other on-site hotels include Colosseo, Kronasar, Santa Isabel, El Andaluz, and Castillo Alcazar, each with its unique theme and amenities. If you prefer something different, the Camp Resort offers a Wild West experience with log cabins, teepees, and even chuck wagons.
For those staying off-site, there are plenty of guesthouses and B&Bs in the town of Rust, some of which are closer to the park entrance than the official hotels. There’s also a Holiday Inn Express near Ringsheim station.
Regarding theme park tickets, Europa Park offers various options, including one-day and multi-day tickets. Booking online is the best way to secure your tickets.
If you plan to visit multiple times in a year, consider getting the Europa Park Club Card, which offers unlimited visits and various exclusives.
Finally, some tips for your visit: plan to spend at least three days at Europa Park to fully enjoy everything it has to offer, including the shows.
Don’t forget to allocate a day for Rulantica, the water park. Public transport within the park is excellent, with trains and monorails to help you get around.
Enjoy the bars, restaurants, and live entertainment at the hotels, even if you’re not staying there. If you have extra time, consider visiting nearby theme parks like Holiday Park and Tripsdrill or exploring the beautiful Black Forest.
